[ mood | bitchy ]

Ok, I cleaned up my friends list. It was pretty easy. If I took you off, it's because you're a drunken whore.
From now on I'll probably lock most of my posts, because I can't really afford a good psychiatrist and the internet is free. Kind of. At least it's not $100 an hour.

This is no longer a journal. It is a bitch-fest for my school complaints and ex-husband woes.

Ex-husband woes? Again? Everyone wants to know what he's done now? Sure, I'll tell you. Thanks for asking.
Here you go... )

I took a walk with Chloë tonight and she insisted on wearing her Santa hat and fleece boots. With shorts and a tshirt.
Then when we got home, she watched the Nightmare before Christmas (for the fiftieth time this week) and actually let me take a shower all by myself. Earlier though, Rearden scratched her leg pretty badly, so she was limping all over the place and being pouty. Right now she is laying on my bed with her leg up on a pillow, being a drama queen. Now it is time for bed. Tomorrow there is no school for C, no work for me, and hopefully we will sleep in.

Is it Danny Lloyd from The Shining, or is it my daughter? We may never know.

Sean has now decided that Chloë's hair now makes her look like a young Adam Rich, hence her new nickname, "Lil' Nicholas".

Sean bought a new iPod...for HIMSELF. Bastard. I want such things.

P.S. I will post pictures of C-money playing soccer as soon as I get them out of the camera and put them on photobucket. I have been very busy not buying iPods. Sorry for the delay.

Megan, Leanne - Soccer pictures on the way! Possibly tomorrow, as tonight I must sleep. I got some really cute ones of C running and one of her picking her shorts out of her butt during a time out. Nice!

Can't go to sleep before I take meaningless quizzes! I just can't.
This one is funny, because it has a Maggie cartoon on it. And I used to desperately want that exact cartoon as a tattoo. I kinda still do. I'm lame. No wait, I'm a "punk rock mommy".
Punk Mama
You're a punk rock mommy! DIY is probably your
motto, because you're a punk mama at heart.
Your kids are getting your independent spirit
and guts, and learning to solve problems
themselves. You love it when they show their
independence, even when it's breaking your
heart.

What kind of a freaky mother are you?

Tonight I took C-money and her friend Mackenzie to the USC v. Portland soccer game so they could see an actual game before their first one tomorrow. They recieved Sonic slushes for good behavior. They ate Skittles and shouted at the soccer players. It was hot as hell and some kid spilled a coke which attracted like, eighty thousand mosquitos and gnats. On the way home the girls invented a song that went "dance, dance, monkey pants" and Chloë kept yelling "let's get stupid in here", and there was a near pantswetting from laughing too much.
Must sleep now, because we have to get up early.
Tomorrow I will require a nap.

Oh yeah. And after looking at ALLcentral and seeing Nat's pictures, I'm hopelessly sad that I didn't go to Tulsa last weekend. Even though it would have put us out about $1,000 for plane tickets. Boo-hoo.

This morning I overslept. I'm not sure if the alarm didn't go off, or if I didn't set it, or if I turned it off, or what...but I woke up at 7:10 when Paige got up to feed the dog and slammed the back door. Then I realized that we needed to leave in about 5 minutes, and the kiddo was still asleep. Nice.
She made it in only about 5 minutes late, because I hauled it and sent her in with bed head and a belly full of fruit snacks and dry Rice Krispies. At least the fruit snacks have vitamin C. I did shove a vitamin in her on the way out.

Yesterday was some sort of record for the amount of tornadoes in one day in SC. At 11, when I was watching the news, the count was at 41, and that was with 2 more touching down at that time. One went through just west of where I live, and north to Newberry where Coye lives. I called her at 11 to make sure she was up and hiding in the bathtub or something, and the sirens in Newberry were going off, but she was fine. Kinda scary though. For some reason where I live is a tornado magnet, so we were lucky that it passed over us with minimal damage. A few years ago one hit nearby and fucked things up pretty badly.

And in other fabulous news, I finally figured out how to type umlauts, among other things, so I can finally put them on Chloë's name. She's an 80's metal baby.

Oh yeah, and since Chloe now knows for sure that "C" and "K" sometimes make the same sound, she has decided that from now on she wants to spell her name "Khloe".

This weekend we went (close to) Atlanta to visit bf's sister Carly. The weather was decent, actually, but we did not go to Charleston Saturday. Chloe was really pretty good on the trip there. We had a nice weekend. Carly has a dog named Basil, which Chloe decided to rename Bizzle, and spent the entire weekend saying things like "I love you, Bizzle my dizzle" and "Hey Bizzle my shizzle". Sean says with her hair all mop head Chloe resembles Roger Daltrey, which she kinda does, so everyone called her Lil' Roger Daltrey and she got a little miffed with that. Carly took us out to eat at the resturaunt where she is a chef, and we had a fancy dinner and Chloe actually ate almost an entire pizza. She was excellent in the behavior department. The food was awesome.
Got home late last night. Chloe fell asleep on the way, and I got her into bed without waking her up. This morning it rained like a motherfucker and there were various lovely things such as: terrible car accidents, flooding, and tornadoes. Thank you, Frances! Chloe was late to school and I was 45 minutes late to class, thanks to some ho-bag who ran a red light and busted up someone's Sentra at the intersection in front of Chloe's school. Nice.
Tonight soccer got rained out again. There is a makeup practice Thursday, if it doesn't rain again. Her first soccer game is Saturday! She is really excited, which is hilarious, considering she has no clue how to play soccer and has practiced once. It'll be fun!

There's a hurricane a'comin'. it's raining like a bastard outside.

The neighbors are having their daughter's birthday party (on a Wednesday night? Yeah, I know...) and there are cars parked all in front of our house and down the street. They couldn't fit 30 cars in their forty foot long driveway? Whatever.

I am fixing to go get C from my mom's. I worked late, came home, did stupid English, took a shower (by myself, which was nice) and now I will go get her. Then, I will come home, and do algebra. The fun never ends.

I am not sure about the weekend plans since there's a hurricane a'comin'. Charleston would not be advisable, seeing as how it's on the coast. Georgia would be sensible, although I am not sure that the weather would be good driving weather.
The dog is going to freak out in this weather, so Paige will probably stay here this weekend, which means Mike will be here, too...and bf and Chloe and me. This house is too small. So who knows where anyone is going.

Truthfully, I don't want to go anywhere. I want to stay home and sleep. I am not in the mood to deal with real life, and I really wish class would get cancelled tomorrow, or the school would lose electricity or something. I just want to bring Chloe home, both of us climb into my bed, and stay there. Until like, Saturday.

Steve, I have to write something on that Faulkner story about the old lady named Emily who sleeps with the corpse. HELP.

So sometimes I watch this show on Fox, "Trading Spouses". The wife from the "affluent" family is always a huge bitch, and the wife from the "disadvantaged" family is always really nice and compassionate. And this guy on the new one with the switched dads, the guy from the country that they stuck in the Big City, I love him. He's really sweet. Even though he has like, no bottom teeth. His kids are jerks, though.
I have some sort of pulled muscle in my back that is killing me. If I sit up straight is it better. When I lay down, or sit bent over, it sucks. So right now, it is kinda ok. Lucky me! The internet has saved my back.

Chloe is officially in the Mop Head phase of growing her hair out. It's outrageous. She looks like the singer from the Strokes or something. All shaggy and in her face. She wants to grow her bangs out. So I went to Walgreen's and got her a bunch of hair thingies on sale today. Some plastic headbands, some new clips, and some stretchy headband things. Also some of those little claw clips, which do a pretty good job. This kid has crazy thick hair, and she has the worst time with clips staying in. She has to use those scunci clips for thick hair, those kid barettes won't work anymore.
Not that anyone was interested in that, but hey, it's my journal!

I hope that everyone is okay from GASTON. Worst hurricane name, ever. No wait..."Hermine" was worse, but that was only a tropical storm. There is a town in SC called Gaston, only it's not pronounced the fancy french way...it's Gaston like Gas-ten. Or as the locals say, "Gazzden". All I can think of is like, chitlin festivals and Peach parades. All kinds of fests celebrating food. That's what Gaston makes me think of.
Anyway, I hope everyone is safe. I heard Virginia got it bad. Angela, hope you guys are okay!

We stopped at Krispy Kreme on the way home.
Now I am filled with Key Lime Pie donuts and bf is asleep. I love Saturdays. Soon, we will go to Sears to look at treadmills. I figured, I might buy exercise equipment today...why not gorge on donuts?
It just made sense at the time.
